The conference for digital youth culture – three days parallel to re:publica at STATION Berlin, tickets for 13- to 25-year-olds free of charge
TINCON was founded in 2016 to offer young people a conference format specifically tailored to their world: digital identity, social media, gaming, activism, career entry, sexuality, mental health. The format deliberately differs from classic tech conferences: speakers are not exclusively industry experts, but also YouTubers, TikTok creators, activists, scientists, and politicians who can speak to a young audience at eye level. TINCON is part of Tincon gGmbH, a non-profit organization based in Berlin.
For several years, TINCON has taken place at STATION Berlin parallel to re:publica. STATION – a former mail sorting facility in Kreuzberg – hosts Europe's largest digital conference every year and, with its halls, offers enough space to run its own youth conference integrated with the “adult conference”. TINCON tickets include admission to re:publica on the respective day. Conversely, many TINCON sessions are explicitly also open to re:publica visitors.
TINCON Berlin 2026 will focus on artificial intelligence and digital self-determination, political participation, culture of remembrance (especially on the topic of Holocaust remembrance on social media), and career orientation. Talks and panels will run on two stages, with larger workshop areas, an expo area with tech demos, and a gaming area in parallel. New in 2026: an even larger making space for hands-on projects.
In addition to stage programs, there are numerous hands-on stations: young people can record their first podcast, test their fact-checking skills, solve tasks in Minecraft, or embroider a TINCON banner together, and trade small collectible trinkets at the “Trinket Box”. The concept is deliberately low-threshold – young people attending a conference for the first time should easily find their way into the day.
The 2026 edition continues the co-location approach with re:publica. Three days, starting daily at 9 AM, parallel stage program, continuous workshop slots, and free activity zones. Speakers include pop stars and activists who are genuinely present in the lives of young people – including YouTubers, podcasters, politicians, and scientists. Confirmed speakers include Maria Popov, Gynäkollege, Suraj Mailitafi, KaddiCosplay, Susanne Siegert (@keine.erinnerungskultur), Africandiva, Franziska Giffey, Emma Rose, and Daniela Sepehri.
Stage 1 is the main stage with talks on political and social issues. Stage 2 focuses on pop, tech, and creative topics. In the Making Space, young people work on their own projects – podcast recordings, banner embroidery, fact-checking exercises. The Gaming Area offers Minecraft tasks and console sessions. The Expo showcases tech demos and stands from NGOs and associations working with young people.
