Nine days of concerts, comedy, readings, and sports in the park at Gleisdreieck – the free open-air format from radioeins and radio3, August 22–30, 2026
The Park am Gleisdreieck, located between Kreuzberg, Schöneberg, and Tiergarten, has been one of Berlin's most vibrant city parks since its opening in 2011/2014. The former railway tracks now feature expansive meadows, sports areas, and small stage venues. It is precisely here that the rbb station radioeins has been hosting its Parkfest for years – one of Berlin's few large, free open-air formats not supported by breweries or advertising agencies, but by public broadcasting radio.
Unlike most festivals, the radioeins Parkfest runs for nine days – from Saturday to the Sunday of the following week. Weekday evenings feature programming, while weekends offer all-day entertainment. The program mixes live concerts, comedy performances, readings, children's programming, sports activities, and live broadcasts from the park – with studio guests and listeners present on site.
Musically, the festival focuses on Berlin's indie, pop, and singer-songwriter scene, with occasional national guests. In previous years, artists such as SIND (Berlin indie-rock), Goldkimono, Akryl, Lawn Chair (Cologne indie), Die Höchste Eisenbahn, and the KAMA Orchestra have performed. The stages are small and intimate, and the concerts remain acoustically within the framework of a living room experience.
Since 2025, the Parkfest has been organized in collaboration with rbb's cultural station radio3. This has led to a stronger presence of classical, jazz, and cultural-political formats in the program – with classical sets, jazz combos, and talk rounds with cultural creators.
The 12th edition of the Parkfest will once again animate the Park am Gleisdreieck for nine consecutive days. As of spring 2026, the program is still being developed – radioeins communicates: "working diligently on the program." Based on previous years, the program structure is expected to follow the previous year's format: weekday evening concerts and readings, with all-day programming on weekends featuring live broadcasts, concerts, comedy, and sports formats.
The complete daily program will be published in summer 2026 on radioeins.de. Based on previous years, the following program pillars can be expected:
