Midsummer on Germany's largest inland lake
With over 100 km² of water surface, the Müritz is the largest entirely German inland lake – and once a year, around the summer solstice, it becomes the stage for Müritz in Flammen. The venue is the Strandresort Klink in the Mecklenburg Lake District, nestled between Waren (Müritz) to the north and Röbel to the south. The long June evening on the Bodden side of the lake, the setting sun, and the subsequent fireworks display create the atmosphere.
Fleet parade from four harbors
The centerpiece of the festival is the XXL fleet parade of Weisse Flotte Müritz. Several passenger ships depart from the harbors of Waren, Klink, Röbel, and Rechlin and meet in the middle of the lake in the evening before proceeding together to the position for the fireworks. Ship tickets include a live program, BBQ, cocktail bar, and stage show on board; food and drinks are paid for separately.
Onshore program
The festival grounds at the Strandresort Klink open in the afternoon. Demonstrations by the water police, fire brigade, and rescue services, puppet shows, stilt walkers, craft activities for children, and live music shape the hours before nightfall. Admission to the onshore festival area is free.
Highlight in the night sky
Around 11 PM, a laser show, accompanied by music, combines with the nocturnal fireworks display over the Müritz – the spectacle regularly attracts thousands of guests from Klink, Waren, Röbel, and the entire lake district. The annually changing theme gives the show its own character.
Region Mecklenburg Lake District
Klink is a spa town on the west bank of the Müritz in the Mecklenburg Lake District, one of Germany's water-richest regions. Those who combine the festival with a holiday usually pair it with the Müritz National Park east of the lake and tours on the surrounding waterways.

Müritz in Flammen 2026 continues the Midsummer Festival at the Strandresort Klink on Saturday, June 20, 2026. On the Müritz lake, nine ships from Weisse Flotte Müritz will depart from the harbors of Waren, Klink, Röbel, and Rechlin for the XXL fleet parade. Onshore, the program begins at 4 PM with family activities such as puppet theater and stilt walkers, with free admission. The grand finale late in the evening is the spectacular fireworks display over the Müritz, accompanied by the laser show with the theme »Back to the 80s«.
