Queen tribute with Markus Engelstädter, rock band, and string orchestra on the festival meadow at Jüterbog Castle Park
Jüterbog, a small town of around 12,000 inhabitants in the Teltow-Fläming district in southern Brandenburg, is home to a remarkable castle park ensemble. The festival meadow at the castle park offers an atmospheric open-air setting for summer concerts — nestled within the historic park grounds. For three evenings in June 2026, it will become a concert stage; the closing evening is dedicated to Queen.
Markus Engelstädter is among Europe's most distinguished Queen interpreters. With a documented vocal range of four octaves (just like Freddie Mercury), he delivers the challenging solos and high-note passages of Queen classics in a production that respects the original while adding its own accents. He is accompanied by a rock band and a string orchestra — a combination that allows the symphonic arrangements of Queen songs like „Bohemian Rhapsody", „Somebody to Love", or „Don't Stop Me Now" to unfold in full orchestral splendor.
Engelstädter's performance on June 21 is the third and final evening of the Schlosspark Open Air Weekend. The exact lineup of the preceding concerts in 2026 will be announced by the organizer. Tickets are available via Berlin.de and Eventim — weekend tickets bundle all three evenings, single tickets start from €47.76 for the Magic of Queen performance.
Jüterbog is located in the Teltow-Fläming district, in southern Brandenburg, on the border with the state of Saxony-Anhalt. The town is known for its completely preserved town wall, the St. Mary's Monastery, and the Hubertushöhe (a Cold War bunker complex). With the Schlosspark Open Air Weekend, Jüterbog has its own summer format with supra-regional appeal.
The 2026 edition of the Magic of Queen Classic evening at the Schlosspark Open Air combines the classical gesture of a string orchestra with the rock power of a full rock band — a constellation that highlights the symphonic aspect of Queen's discography. Markus Engelstädter guides the program with his four-octave voice.
The evening is the third and final one of the Schlosspark Open Air Weekend — the exact lineup of the preceding concerts will be announced by the organizer.
Detailed song list will be published before the concert.
