Germany's largest Trading Card Game event – a weekend for Magic, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, One Piece, and Star Wars Unlimited
The TCG Festival Reken gathers the German and European trading card game community in one place once a year – and according to organizer Trader-Online, it is Germany's largest Trading Card Game event. At the festival grounds on Carl-Benz-Straße 15-17 in Reken, tournaments, drafts, side events, and a huge card and singles market are offered – combined with live music and a family program.
The 2026 edition takes place on Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, 2026. Tickets are available via Eventim Light; the event is organized as a two-day festival with day and weekend tickets.
The festival covers the entire spectrum of currently popular trading card games:
In addition, there are artist signings, cosplay contests, and workshops for beginners and collectors.
A special feature of the TCG Festival: It is not just a card event, but also a live music festival. Performing on the main stage:
This makes the festival a hybrid format of a card convention and a small open-air event.
Trader-Online explicitly positions the TCG Festival as a family festival. Children up to 15 years old and up to two accompanying persons receive free admission. There is also a children's card game program, craft stations, ice cream, and child-friendly catering.
The organizer is Trader-Online – one of the largest German online retailers for trading cards. At the festival, the company operates a large on-site shop where players can directly expand their decks or sell their collections at current prices. According to the MTG forum, the festival has become an important meeting point for the German-speaking TCG community since its first edition.
Reken is a municipality in the Borken district in western Münsterland (North Rhine-Westphalia). With around 14,000 inhabitants and good transport links to the A31 motorway, the municipality is a logistical hub. The festival grounds on Carl-Benz-Straße are easily accessible via the motorway and offer ample parking – an important factor for an event that attracts visitors from all over the German-speaking world.
The 2026 edition confirms the concept of the TCG Festival: two days, six TCG universes, live tribute music, and a large Trader-Online shop. The stage shows with Depeche Mode tribute on Saturday and ABBA + Rage Against the Machine on Sunday make the festival attractive beyond the pure card player community.
