Streetfood Festival at Remscheid's Rathausplatz
For three days, Theodor-Heuss-Platz – colloquially known as Rathausplatz – in Remscheid's city center will transform into a huge open-air restaurant. The Streetfood Drink & Music Festival brings food trucks from all over Germany and Europe to Remscheid, creating a connection between the Bergisches city center and the international food truck scene.
International Cuisine from Food Trucks
The stalls offer international cuisine in the typical food truck variety: Burgers and BBQ from the USA, Tacos from Mexico, Bao Buns from Asia, Pulled Pork and Pulled Beef, vegan and vegetarian options, various fries, sweet crêpes, bubble waffles, and ice cream specialties. German classics like Currywurst or Reibekuchen (potato pancakes) also find their place.
Live Stage with DJ and Cocktail Bar
A live stage with DJ vibes provides the musical backdrop – lounge beats during the day, energetic sounds in the evening. At the Cocktail Bar, professionals mix classics and creations, complemented by draft beer. A dedicated children's play area is available for families with kids – the festival positions itself as intergenerational.
Free Admission – You Consume What You Eat
Admission is free. Payment is made exclusively at the food and drink stalls. Prices are typical for festival street food: Main courses €8–€15, Cocktails €8–€12, Beer €4–€5. Cash and card payments accepted at most stalls.
Theodor-Heuss-Platz – Remscheid's City Center
Theodor-Heuss-Platz is located right in the heart of Remscheid's city center, next to the town hall. With the market character of a classic German city center square, it offers a stage that appears both urban and manageable. Surrounding businesses benefit from the festival visitor flow.
Remscheid in the Bergisches Städtedreieck
Remscheid, along with Solingen and Wuppertal, forms the Bergisches Städtedreieck (Bergisches Tri-City Area), an economic center northeast of Cologne. The city was traditionally home to Germany's tool and steel industry (keyword: "Tool City"). The festival complements the city center's offerings with a modern event format – a deliberate step towards younger target groups.
Who is Behind the Festival
The organizer is the Streetfood Agency, a brand of EnMa Deutschland UG. The agency organizes streetfood festivals across Germany and will be touring in 2026 in cities including Witten, Plettenberg, Datteln, and many others. The Remscheid edition is part of the established tour schedule and is advertised via social media, local newspapers, and radio.
