From Friday, August 21st, to Sunday, August 23rd, 2026, the Musikverein Retzstadt invites you to the Straßenweinfest at the Platz der Freundschaft. For three days, vintners and clubs will serve Retzstadt wine, complemented by Franconian specialties and live music. The festival is dedicated to the over 1200-year-old wine tradition of the Retz valley and the convivial festival culture of the Franconian Wine Land.

Wine Festival in the Retz Valley
The Straßenweinfest Retzstadt is the major summer wine festival of the Lower Franconian municipality of Retzstadt in the Main-Spessart district. Organized by the Musikverein Retzstadt (Retzstadt Music Club), it transforms the Platz der Freundschaft into a convivial meeting point for wine lovers from all over the Franconian Wine Land for three days.
Retzstadt boasts a wine tradition spanning over 1200 years – viticulture in the Retz valley shapes the village to this day. During the Straßenweinfest, vintners and clubs serve Retzstadt wine, complemented by Franconian specialties and a musical program by the music club, whose motto »Musik macht Spaß« (Music is Fun) perfectly captures the exuberant festive atmosphere.
