Schenefeld celebrates itself

A few kilometers northwest of Hamburg, in the Pinneberg district, lies the small town of Schenefeld. The annual Stadtfest is one of the highlights of the municipal event calendar – a three-day community festival that turns the town center around the Stadtzentrum am Kiebitzweg into a meeting place for generations. The organizer is the Werbegemeinschaft Stadtzentrum Schenefeld GbR, the association of local retailers in the district.

Stage program, amusement rides, and culinary delights

Several live bands and acts are expected over three days, along with children's carousels, game stations, and an amusement ride area. The culinary stands cover a wide range – from Bratwurst and crêpes to international specialties. Regional bands, dance groups, and performances by local clubs alternate on the central stage.

A festival with a neighborhood character

Unlike the big Volksfeste (popular festivals) in Hamburg or Pinneberg, the Stadtfest Schenefeld retains the character of a neighborhood festival: the local retailers are involved, the restaurateurs open their outdoor seating areas, and the Staddi parking lot becomes the festival mile. Admission is free, the atmosphere is familiar – you'll meet both the Schenefeld neighborhood and day-trippers from western Hamburg here.

Pinneberg district and metropolitan region

Schenefeld is located directly on the Hamburg city limits, easily accessible by S-Bahn (Lurup/Iserbrook) and several bus lines. The Stadtfest is one of the major events in the south of the Pinneberg district and receives extensive coverage from the local press.
