Equestrian Sport and Festival Culture in Oberneuland

Oberneuland is one of Bremen's greenest and most tranquil districts – with country estates, parks, and wide meadows. It is precisely here, at the Rosenbusch riding facility on Oberneulander Landstrasse, that the Reitclub Rosenbusch Oberneuland hosts its major show jumping tournament every spring. Around 200 national and international show jumpers compete here in classes ranging from beginner to the Grand Prix, on all-weather arenas and well-maintained grass courses.

More Than Just Sport

What makes the tournament a festival is the surrounding atmosphere: a large marquee, continuous catering, a wine bar, vendor stalls, and a children's paradise with a bouncy castle and face painting. The highlight of the social program is the 'Tanz in den Mai' on April 30th in the evening in the marquee – a classic event where equestrian sport and festive cheer merge.

Meeting Point for the Region

Over the years, the show jumping tournament has become a firm fixture in eastern Bremen, bringing together equestrian enthusiasts, families, and neighbours. Admission is free on the first day, and affordable on the remaining days – including a complimentary drink that you can redeem at the marquee, the wine bar, or the drinks stand. Children have free admission.

Hanseatic Riding Tradition

Bremen-Oberneuland boasts a long rural and equestrian tradition. The tournament builds on this, combining sporting ambition with the relaxed charm of a village festival on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city.
