Sportfest ZV Feilitzsch

ZV Feilitzsch — Central Association

The ZV Feilitzsch e.V. is the central association of the Upper Franconian municipality of Feilitzsch in the Hof district. Unlike specialized sports clubs, it covers several sports and club activities — football, tennis, gymnastics, table tennis, and more. Its clubhouse at Steinweg 8 in Feilitzsch is a meeting point for the sporting community.

Kessel Sports Ground

The "Kessel" sports ground is the central sports facility of ZV Feilitzsch. Football league matches and the sports festival take place here in the summer. The name "Kessel" (meaning "kettle" or "cauldron") refers to its topographical location: the facility lies in a hollow on the edge of the village.

The Summer Sports Festival

The sports festival is the club's annual festive event. Three days from Friday to Sunday with a classic festival week structure: opening on Friday evening, main program on Saturday (football tournament, activities, live music in the evening), family afternoon and festival closing on Sunday. Catering is provided voluntarily by club members.

Feilitzsch and the Hofer Land

Feilitzsch is a municipality in the Hof district, just a few kilometers from Hof an der Saale. The region is located in the extreme northeast of Bavaria, at the transition to Vogtland (Saxony) and Thuringia. This geographical location gives the Hofer Land its own character — Franconian heritage, Vogtland influences, and a strong industrial and sporting club tradition. Sports festivals here — as everywhere in Upper Franconia — are important social events.
