Inclusive sports festival in the Havel city — every person, every movement, every age
The Sportfest für Alle is part of a long-term inclusion strategy of the city of Brandenburg an der Havel. The independent city in the state of Brandenburg was a Host Town in 2023 as part of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin — and developed the "Inclusion in and through Sport" network from this experience. The Sportfest für Alle has since become a permanent fixture in the city's calendar and a flagship for inclusive movement culture in Brandenburg.
The venue is the municipal sports complex at Wiesenweg 2 (14776 Brandenburg an der Havel): Dreifelderhalle, outdoor sports facilities, grass, and tartan track. The facility is barrier-free and thus a model for inclusive sports infrastructure in the region. Easily accessible by car via the B102 and by public transport (Bus 558 Wiesenweg).
The hands-on program includes biathlon, basketball, volleyball, a wheelchair obstacle course, badminton, judo, football, darts, boccia, cheerleading, as well as dance and fitness groups. Local sports clubs such as FSV Viktoria, Lebenshilfe, and the Stadtsportbund provide trainers and equipment. Workshops on self-defense and everyday safety complement the movement program. For children, there is a bouncy castle, face painting, and interactive games.
The Sportfest für Alle is not intended as a competition, but as a meeting place. Clubs present their work, sports enthusiasts try out unknown disciplines, and families spend an active day with free admission. Grilled food and cake support the city's prom (Abiball) — a locally rooted event that demonstrates inclusion not as a buzzword, but as lived practice.
On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the third edition of the Sportfest für Alle will take place in Brandenburg an der Havel. The venue is the Dreifelderhalle with the adjacent sports field at Wiesenweg 2 (14776 Brandenburg an der Havel). The organization is handled by the city of Brandenburg together with the "Inclusion in and through Sport" network.
