15th Edition in 2026

With the Schollemarathon on September 12, 2026, VfL Brandenburg celebrates the 15th edition of the run, which is now known far beyond the Havel city. The name says it all: the "Scholle" has always been the colloquial term for the Krugpark by the Autobahnsee — a local recreation area in western Brandenburg, where pine forests, sandy paths, and a bathing lake magnetically attract Brandenburg families and athletes.

The Course — 10.5 km through the Krugpark

Start and finish are at Krugpark (Wilhelmsdorf 6d). The circuit is 10.5 km long and leads through the forest around the Autobahnsee — flat, fast, mostly asphalted with gravel sections. Those who choose the marathon distance will run the course four times, covering 42 km. The shorter distances are intended as fun runs and correspond to 10 km (one lap), 21 km (two laps, approx. half marathon), and 32 km (three laps, "third marathon"). Each runner decides for themselves where to stop — those who manage an extra lap pay the difference on-site.

Registration, Entry Fees, Medal

Online registration via the VfL portal is open until Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The entry fees are moderate: €10 for one lap, €15 for two, €20 for three, and €40 for the full marathon distance. The marathon fee includes the finisher medal — and the knowledge of having finished one of Brandenburg's most beautiful small marathons. Aid stations every 5 km, showers and changing rooms in the Krugpark, free parking directly at the start.

Brandenburg an der Havel and the Krugpark

Brandenburg an der Havel is the old cathedral city, giving its name to the entire federal state and the cradle of the Mark. The Krugpark in the Wilhelmsdorf district was created in the 1930s as a recreational area on the shore of a small lake, which arose from the construction of the present-day A 2 (then Reichsautobahn Berlin–Hannover) — hence the name Autobahnsee. Today, the Scholle is the city's most popular local recreation area: hiking, swimming, walks with the dog — and once a year, the marathon. For visitors from outside, the Schollemarathon is also worthwhile because the medieval old town of Brandenburg (Dominsel with St. Peter and Paul Cathedral) is only a 10-minute drive away.

Schollemarathon — edition 2026

15th Schollemarathon on Saturday, September 12, 2026, starting at 9 a.m. in the Krugpark Brandenburg an der Havel. Four selectable distances on a 10.5 km circuit through the forest by the Autobahnsee, entry fees from €10 to €40, registration deadline September 8.

Anniversary Edition 2026 — 15th Schollemarathon

The 15th edition of the Schollemarathon starts on September 12, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Krugpark. On the 10.5 km circuit through the forest, runners decide for themselves whether to complete one, two, three, or four laps — the latter makes a full marathon (42 km).

The organizer is VfL Brandenburg, who secures the course together with helpers from the Wilhelmsdorf district. Aid stations are set up every 5 km, and showers and changing rooms are available in the Krugpark.
