SPIELWIESN 2026 opens its doors from Friday, November 6, to Sunday, November 8, 2026, at the Messe Augsburg. Across 14,500 m², around 100 exhibitors – from large board game publishers to small manufacturers – will meet the Southern German gaming scene. With a record of 16,500 guests last year, Spielwiesn is firmly established as the most important event for Southern German board game fans in the autumn calendar.
Highlights such as the Long Game Night on Friday, the Independent Publisher Area, the Pen & Paper Arena, the Science Playground for children, and the flea market for used games will again form the program in 2026. An official announcement of exhibitor and program details will be made by the organizer MPA Public Relations & Event Agentur GmbH.

Getting There
Messe Augsburg, Am Messezentrum 5, 86159 Augsburg. Easily accessible via the A 8 (Augsburg-Ost exit). By train to Augsburg Hauptbahnhof, then tram line 6 towards Friedberg West to the "Messe" stop.
Parking
Around 3,700 parking spaces, including accessible spots and charging stations for electric cars.

Three Days in Southern Germany's Largest Gaming World
The SPIELWIESN is the annual game fair of the city of Augsburg and is now considered Southern Germany's largest board game festival. Across approximately 14,500 m² of exhibition space at the Messe Augsburg, there are around 2,200 game stations where visitors can try out new releases and classics directly – always with experienced game explainers by their side.

Long Game Night on Friday
A special feature of SPIELWIESN is the Long Game Night on Friday: The fair opens at 1:00 PM but stays open until 11:00 PM – allowing working people to play, browse, and compare at their leisure after work. Saturday and Sunday are then classic family days.
Record Attendance in 2025: 16,500 Visitors
In 2025, SPIELWIESN broke its previous record with 16,500 visitors. Around 100 exhibitors presented their new releases, many offering on-site playtesting and limited fair editions. This is a clear signal that 'analog' gaming continues to thrive in a digital age.
