Fourth edition of the food truck festival in Menzerpark — three days of international cuisine with free admission
Since its premiere in 2023, the Street Food Festival Neckargemünd has become a regular fixture in the early summer calendar of the Rhein-Neckar district. 2026 will see the fourth edition — in the spacious Menzerpark, a green park area between Julius-Menzer-Straße and the Neckar riverbank, right in the historic town center of Neckargemünd.
What began as a small food truck gathering is now a journey through world cuisine: Korean bao buns and bibimbap, Argentinian empanadas, Mexican tacos and quesadillas, Thai curries and Pad Thai, Vietnamese Pho and Bahn-mi, Italian wood-fired pizza, German classics like pulled pork and potato pancakes, vegan burgers, Syrian falafel, and sweet desserts like mochi donuts and crêpes. Each stand serves medium-sized portions, allowing visitors to sample many different cuisines over the weekend.
Complementing the culinary offerings, regional bands will perform on a small stage in the park — the range extends from acoustic sets and singer-songwriter music on Friday evening to cover pop and rock on Saturday and soul/funk on Sunday. For families, there is a dedicated children's corner with a bouncy castle, face painting, and games. The park is large enough for relaxed picnic spots on the lawn.
A central bar in the festival area offers cocktails, Aperol Spritz, Hugo, Gin Tonic, and non-alcoholic summer drinks. The drinks menu also includes wines from Kraichgau, as well as regional beers and a rotating craft beer selection.
With around 13,000 inhabitants, Neckargemünd is a small town at the transition from the Neckar Valley to the Odenwald — just a ten-minute train ride from Heidelberg. The historic old town with its market square, Protestant church, and half-timbered houses forms the backdrop for the weekend. Menzerpark borders the Neckar directly — perfect for a stroll along the river after your meal.
The official program for the fourth edition will be published shortly before the festival date on the city's website and the organizer's social media. The structure has remained the same since the first edition:
The current vendor list for 2026 and band confirmations will be on the festival's Facebook page — typically around 25 food trucks and 4 live acts.
The vendor list (around 25–30 food trucks from all over Germany) and the exact band lineup will be announced approximately 4 weeks before the festival on neckargemuend.de.
