Four speedway race days on the most traditional dirt track in Northern Germany
Brokstedt is a municipality with just under 2,000 inhabitants in the Steinburg district of Schleswig-Holstein, located on the A7 motorway between Hamburg and Neumünster. The Holsteinring — an oval 387-meter dirt track in the middle of the village street — has been part of Northern Germany's speedway identity since the 1950s. MSC Brokstedt e.V. in the ADAC, home club of the "Wikinger", has won the German team title here four times (most recently in 2021) and boasts two top European-level riders, Norick Blödorn and Kevin Wölbert.
The 2026 season includes four race days at the Holsteinring. The traditional opener on May 1st, a German Championship (DM) race on June 27th, a home Bundesliga match, and the final of the German U21 Championship on October 11th.
The Holsteinring is more than a sports venue — it's an anchor of identity for Brokstedt. Anyone attending on May 1st or the DM race experiences speedway in its most authentic form: families from the Steinburg district, fans from all over Northern Germany, riders in direct contact with the audience before and after the races.
MSC Brokstedt confirms four race days for 2026 at their home track. The exact Bundesliga dates will be coordinated with the DMSB league; the DM and U21 dates are fixed by DMSB predicate.
The Holsteinring is part of a Northern German speedway network (Brokstedt, Güstrow, Stralsund, Wittstock, Teterow), where Bundesliga races, DM races, and cup competitions rotate.
With Norick Blödorn (local top rider with league engagements in Poland and England) and Kevin Wölbert (top European rider), MSC Brokstedt boasts one of the strongest Bundesliga line-ups.
