One of the most popular music festivals on the Baltic Sea
The Jazzfest Ahrenshoop is one of the most atmospheric music festivals on the German Baltic Sea coast. Since 2002, around 40 ensembles have performed annually over a long June weekend at approximately 17 venues – on the terraces and stages of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, cafés, as well as in galleries and event houses in the artists' village of Ahrenshoop.
The program ranges from Swing, Latin Jazz, and Ska to Folk, Funk, and Brass, as well as Dixieland, Boogie Woogie, Blues, Balkan Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, German Spirituals, and Pop. Regional, national, and international musicians meet in intimate settings and unusual constellations.
A main stage hosts the biggest names of the program, while the other venues are freely accessible with a festival wristband. Festival passes for four, three, or two concerts allow for flexible program planning – including the main stage.
Ahrenshoop is located on the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in the Vorpommern-Rügen district (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern) and has been a magnet for painters, writers, and musicians for over a century. The Jazzfest fits into this artistic heritage and is considered a social and cultural highlight of the summer season on the Vorpommern Baltic coast.
From June 18 to 21, 2026, the 25th Jazzfest Ahrenshoop will transform the Baltic Sea resort into an anniversary festival stage. At around 17 venues – terraces and stages of hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, cafés, as well as galleries and event houses – approximately 40 ensembles from Germany and the international jazz scene will perform.
On the main stage, Max Mutzke and Marialy Pacheco will perform on the opening night, American singer and saxophonist Curtis Stigers on June 19, the Ida Sand Trio on June 20, and the Ahrenshooper Social Club at the closing concert on June 21. Other performers include the Henning Schiewer Quintett, Hila Kulik & Atrin Madani, and numerous bands offering a stylistic range from Swing, Latin Jazz, Ska, Folk, Funk, Brass, Dixieland, Boogie Woogie, Blues, Balkan Jazz, Rock 'n' Roll, to Pop.
