Getting there

Train: RE1 Berlin–Brandenburg, stop Potsdam Park Sanssouci or Potsdam Hbf, then a short tram ride.
Car: A10/A115, exit Potsdam-Babelsberg. Limited parking around the park — public transport strongly recommended.

Registration exclusively through the company, which purchases a company pool of starting places. The entry fee is typically around €20 per participant (functional shirt, timing, after-run admission included).

Tip

Arrive early before 5:00 PM, as the starting zone in front of the Neues Palais fills up quickly. Plan for your journey home — the after-run party doesn't end until around 10:30 PM. Bring a change of clothes, as temperatures in the park can be cool in the evenings in May.

Brandenburg's largest company run

The IKK BB Company Run Potsdam has been the most important company run in the state of Brandenburg for years and one of the most scenically spectacular in all of Germany: The running course leads right through the UNESCO World Heritage Site Park Sanssouci, past the Neues Palais, Charlottenhof Palace, and the Communs. The run is organized by IKK Brandenburg und Berlin, the most important statutory health insurance fund in the region.

Date, Distance, Participants

The 2026 edition will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026. The start is at 6:00 PM directly in front of the Neues Palais. The course is 4.8 km long — deliberately kept short so that occasional runners from the workforce can also participate. Experience shows that between 5,000 and 8,000 runners from hundreds of Brandenburg and Berlin companies, administrations, associations, and universities start in Potsdam.

Three Categories — One Course

Awards will be given in three categories: Fastest Woman, Fastest Man, and Fastest Team (average time of the three fastest runners of a team). Registration is through the company, which purchases a minimum number of starting places. The entry fee includes a functional shirt, bib number, chip timing, water on the course, and admission to the after-run party.

After-Run Party in front of the Neues Palais

From around 7:30 PM, the event grounds in front of the Neues Palais will transform into a large open-air meeting point. Various bands will play on the stage, food trucks and bars will cater to the participants, and the winners will be honored around 9:00 PM. For many Brandenburg companies, the company run has now become an important team event in the annual calendar.

Potsdam and Park Sanssouci

Potsdam is the state capital of Brandenburg, located directly southwest of Berlin. Park Sanssouci — laid out by Frederick the Great in 1745 — covers a 290-hectare palace and garden complex and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1990. The fact that this park is opened for a company run one evening a year is a small sensation and makes the Potsdam run one of the most extraordinary in Germany.
