Festival for experimental pop music at Schaulust
The Sound Cream Festival is one of those small, quiet events that are culturally loud. At Schaulust, the former cinema located right next to Bremen's Handelsmuseum, artists from the international avant-garde pop scene meet for a weekend to experiment with everything that can be sound. Genres dissolve: jazz flows into electronics, percussion becomes composition, voice becomes an instrument and back again.
Eight acts are confirmed for the 2026 edition: 13 Year Cicada, Golden Diskó Ship, Guido Möbius, Jasmine Guffond, Katharina Ernst, Painting, PΞB, and Teresa Riemann. The lineup reads like a who's who of the European experimental scene – with sonic artistic approaches typically found at festivals like Berlin Atonal, CTM, or Unsound Krakow. In Bremen, however, you'll find them compactly presented over a single weekend in a hall with a special atmosphere.
Schaulust at Beim Handelsmuseum 9 in the Bahnhofsvorstadt has been a hub of Bremen's independent cultural scene for years. The building offers the necessary acoustic depth for experimental concerts, while also providing the spatial warmth that makes such events so special. Just a few minutes from the main train station, Schaulust is ideally accessible – an argument that is particularly important for a festival with a supra-regional audience.
Day tickets cost between €31.86 and €36.85 (Standard or Flex), two-day tickets range from €52.55 to €60.54. The Flex option allows cancellation up to 48 hours before the event. Advance sales are via Eventfrog. It's about a five-minute walk from the main train station.
On Saturday, June 6, 2026, Jasmine Guffond & Louis Cameron (7:00 PM), Guido Möbius (8:30 PM), Katharina Ernst (10:00 PM), and Painting (11:30 PM) will perform, among others. 13 Year Cicada, Golden Diskó Ship, PΞB, and Teresa Riemann are also part of the lineup, spread across both days.
The artists move between rock-jazz-electronica, percussion-focused compositions, and anarchic-existential soundscapes. The festival sees itself as a curated space for experimental pop music in all its forms.
