Dancing Under the Open Sky
When the Fürth Stadtpark transforms into a giant ballroom on a July evening, one of Franconia's most elegant events begins. The Sommernachtsball by Comödie Fürth has been attracting thousands of guests for years, who stroll in festive attire between several dance floors, stages, and themed areas.
From Waltz to House
The concept thrives on its diversity: classic big band sounds from the Thilo Wolf Big Band, party band sounds, swing in the rose garden, classical music in the church, and electronic beats in the ballroom house area. In between, there are show acts, dance classes to join, casino flair, and burlesque. A separate dance floor is reserved for every taste.
Heißmann, Big Band, and Gourmet Cuisine
A defining figure of the ball is the multi-talented Volker Heißmann from Comödie Fürth. The evening is accompanied gastronomically by top chef Alexander Herrmann. The grand finale is a spectacular fireworks display over the Stadtpark.

20th Anniversary Edition
The Sommernachtsball 2026 celebrates its 20th anniversary. Starting at 5 PM, the program unfolds across several dance floors and themed areas in the Stadtpark, each with its own musical character – from big band to party band to electronic disco. The multi-talented Volker Heißmann performs live, with culinary accompaniment by top chef Alexander Herrmann. The highlight is a grand fireworks display.

Dance Floor 1
- 5:00 PM — Start
- 7:00 PM — Official opening with city officials
- followed by dance class and concerts by the THILO WOLF BIG BAND

- 6 FEET FOUR PARTYBAND, hosted by Martin Cernan
- Tribute shows and fireworks
Dance Floor 4 — Ballroom House Area
- from 5:00 PM — electronic disco music
- 6:00 PM — Crash course dance classes

Arvena Rose Garden
- from 5:00 PM — Swing music, casino, burlesque, vintage car photo point
Auferstehungskirche (Church of the Resurrection)

Getting There
The Fürth Stadtpark is centrally located and within walking distance of Fürth main station and the subway. Travel by subway from Nuremberg is recommended.
Dress Code & Tickets
Festive to elegant evening wear is requested. Advance ticket sales via Comödie Fürth and the official website. The ball takes place in all weather conditions.
