An Institution in the German Trade Fair Calendar
Consumenta in Nuremberg was founded in 1952 and has since become a fixture in the German trade fair calendar. Organized by AFAG Messen und Ausstellungen GmbH, it takes place annually in late autumn at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre – in the Franconian metropolis of Nuremberg, Bavaria, the largest city in the Middle Franconia region.
Themed Worlds
Consumenta presents a wide range of products and services across approximately 80,000 square meters in nine halls. The themed worlds range from building and living, household, furniture, and furnishings to health, wellness, hobbies, regional specialties, and enjoyment. Over 1,000 exhibitors from trade, crafts, industry, services, and gastronomy are represented.
Parallel Fairs and Experience
One admission ticket grants access to all concurrently held exhibitions – including the iENA inventors' fair, the Nuremberg Pet Expo, and other special shows. Hands-on activities like the "Treasure Hunt" and a diverse stage and show program complete the trade fair visit and make Consumenta an experience for the whole family.

With around 123,000 visitors annually, Consumenta is one of the largest and most successful consumer goods fairs in Germany and a crowd-puller for the entire Nuremberg Metropolitan Region.

Consumenta — edition 2026
From October 31 to November 8, 2026, Consumenta will once again open its doors at the Nuremberg Exhibition Centre. Across approximately 80,000 square meters in nine halls, visitors can expect a comprehensive offering covering living, building, household, hobbies, health, and culinary delights.
An admission ticket grants access to all concurrently running exhibitions, including the iENA inventors' fair and the Pet Expo. Hands-on activities and a diverse stage program make the fair a family experience.
Programme Consumenta 2026
Open daily 10 am–6 pm (last admission at 5 pm) from 31.10. to 08.11.2026. Themed areas include Building & Living, Household, Furniture, Health, Wellness, Hobbies, Regional Specialties, and Enjoyment. Parallel fairs: iENA (Inventors' Fair) and Nuremberg Pet Expo. "Treasure Hunt" activity and stage program.

Getting There
The Nuremberg Exhibition Centre is directly accessible from the city centre via U-Bahn line U1 (Messe station). By car, take the A73 (Nürnberg-Hafen/Messe exit), with parking available on site. From the main train station, it's about a 15-minute U-Bahn ride.
