High Summer in the Spa Park

The big summer festival is one of the oldest and most popular traditions of the seaside resort Lubmin. In high summer, when the Baltic Sea beaches are most crowded, the spa administration, together with local clubs, organizes a two-day Volksfest in the spacious spa park between the pier square and the beach promenade.

Program Structure

Friday starts the festival in the late afternoon with the official opening, followed by a packed program of rock and hit concerts, a children's disco, and an evening fireworks display launched from the pier square over the Greifswalder Bodden. Saturday begins in the morning and combines hit performances, a children's show in the afternoon, and DJ sets. Food and drinks are offered via numerous catering stands on site.

Local Context

Lubmin is located in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, about 20 km east of Greifswald, on the northern bay of the Greifswalder Bodden. With its traditional spa park and the 350 m long pier, the seaside resort is one of the most famous family bathing resorts in Vorpommern. The summer festival is the event where the entire seaside resort celebrates together.
