Brieselang and the Nymphensee

Brieselang is a municipality in the Havelland district, located about 20 km northwest of Berlin. With just under 13,000 inhabitants, it is a rapidly growing community in the Berlin commuter belt, characterized by a mix of long-established Brandenburg families and newer Berlin commuters. The Nymphensee — a small lake on the outskirts of town — is the community's local recreation center and, at the same time, the stage for the annual Sommerfest.

The Sommerfest 2026 — Two Days, Two Concepts

The Sommerfest combines two days with different emphases: Friday evening is a party night with the party band "Right Now" (regionally known cover band from Brandenburg) followed by a DJ program. Saturday combines day and evening programs: from 1 PM, it's the "Markt der Möglichkeiten" — clubs, initiatives, and institutions of the municipality present themselves; from 2 PM, the stage program begins with kindergarten performances as the opening; in the evening, the duo "Anstandslos & Durchgeknallt" performs — a group known in recent years in the Schlager and party scene, who have a broad audience for their covers and live performances.

"Markt der Möglichkeiten"

The Saturday "Markt der Möglichkeiten" is an important part of the festival. Here, around 30+ clubs, initiatives, social facilities, and institutions of the municipality present themselves — sports clubs, fire departments, churches, day care centers, senior initiatives, kindergartens, family centers. It is simultaneously a showcase of the local club scene and a meeting platform: Brieselang residents meet each other, discover new initiatives, and find connections to the community's sports or cultural offerings.

Family Festival by the Lake

The combination of lakeside location, stage program, market, and dancing makes the Sommerfest a typical Brandenburg Volksfest in its family-friendly form.
