Open-air music festival for the start of summer at Nymphensee in Havelland
Brieselang is a municipality in the Landkreis Havelland, about 25 km west of Berlin, on the edge of the Brieselanger Forst. The Nymphensee – a swimming lake created from a clay pit – is its main recreational area: a meeting point for swimmers in summer, and for walkers in winter. It is precisely here that the association Nymphe & See e.V. hosts the Fête de la Musique every year on June 21st.
The Fête de la Musique is an open-air concept for the start of summer, invented in Paris in 1982, and now celebrated in over 120 countries. In Brieselang, the association consistently adapts the format regionally: live music from Havelland – meaning bands, singer-songwriters, and combos from the immediate vicinity.
The concerts will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026 – the start of summer and thus the longest day of the year. The stage will be at Nymphensee, with the shore serving as a natural grandstand. On the program:
The full lineup will be announced shortly before the festival date on gemeindebrieselang.de. Free admission – donations for the association are welcome.
The charm of the Brieselang Fête lies in its lakeside location: those who arrive early can swim at the beach during the day and stay for live music in the evening. The format is family-friendly; children can play by the water while parents enjoy the concerts. You can reach Brieselang in 20 minutes from Berlin-Spandau via the regional train RE4 – ideal for a spontaneous visit without a car.
