Take tram line 1 or 2 towards Beesen/Silberhöhe, stop at Silberhöhe Wohngebiet. By car, take the B91 south, exit Silberhöhe; parking available at the E-Center.

The Biggest Festival in Silberhöhe

Silberhöhe — also known as "Waldstadt Silberhöhe" — is a large housing estate in the south of Halle (Saale), built in 1979 in the GDR prefabricated construction style. Since reunification, the district has transformed radically: deconstruction, afforestation, a new identity as a green "Waldstadt" (forest settlement). The "Menschen für Menschen" (People for People) Neighborhood Festival is the district's annual self-affirmation — by residents for residents, supported by the Silberhöhe Citizens' Initiative.

Stands, a stage, and hands-on activities are spread around the E-Center on Weißenfelser/Silbertaler Straße. Clubs, housing associations (HWG, GWG), political parties, and the Southern District Management present their work.
