"Enjoyment on the River" on the Banks of the Main
The Segnitzer Mainfest carries the motto "Enjoyment on the River" and takes place every year on the second weekend of July on the festival grounds directly on the banks of the Main in Segnitz. The celebration is held in the open air – a convivial summer festival in the heart of Franconian wine country.
Wine, Sparkling Wine, Beer, and Franconian Cuisine
Franconian wine, sparkling wine, beer, and cocktails are offered, along with good food and a varied supporting program. The festival honors the landscape and culinary diversity at the southernmost point of the Maindreieck, on the sunny north side of the Main – ideal conditions for Franconian viticulture.
Tradition of the Segnitzer Broträusch
The organizer is the Segnitzer Broträusch. After 21 Brotrausch festivals – the last one in 2010 – the tradition transitioned into today's Segnitzer Mainfest held in the open air. Thus, the festival combines the old local customs with a modern wine and summer festival on the river.
Segnitz – Kitzingen District
Segnitz is located in the Kitzingen district in the Bavarian administrative region of Lower Franconia, directly on the Main river in Franconian wine country. Its location at the southernmost point of the Maindreieck and its proximity to well-known wine towns make the Mainfest a atmospheric highlight of the Franconian wine festival season.
Segnitzer Mainfest — edition 2026
The Segnitzer Mainfest 2026 will be celebrated from July 11 to 13 – on the second weekend of July – on the festival grounds directly on the banks of the Main in Segnitz. Under the motto "Enjoyment on the River," the Segnitzer Broträusch invites you to a convivial summer festival in the open air.
Franconian wine, sparkling wine, beer, and cocktails, as well as good food, will be offered. The celebration of culinary diversity at the southernmost point of the Maindreieck, on the sunny north side of the Main, makes it an atmospheric highlight of the Franconian wine festival season in the Kitzingen district.

Getting There
By car via the A3 / A7 towards Kitzingen/Marktbreit to Segnitz; the festival grounds are located directly on the banks of the Main. By train to Marktbreit, then continue to Segnitz.

Every second weekend in July (2026: July 11–13).

Admission to the festival grounds is free. Costs are incurred for wine, sparkling wine, beer, cocktails, and food.
Tip
The location directly on the water is particularly atmospheric in the evenings at sunset.
