The Segnitzer Mainfest, themed "Enjoyment on the River," is one of the most beautiful summer festivals in Franconian wine country. Every second weekend in July, the Segnitzer Broträusch transforms the festival grounds directly on the banks of the Main into an open-air meeting point. It celebrates the landscape and culinary diversity at the southernmost point of the Maindreieck, on the sunny north side of the Main: Franconian wine, sparkling wine, beer, and cocktails, complemented by good food and a convivial atmosphere. The festival builds on the long tradition of the Segnitzer Broträusch festivals and is now an integral part of summer in the Kitzingen district.

Getting There

By car via the A3 / A7 towards Kitzingen/Marktbreit to Segnitz; the festival grounds are located directly on the banks of the Main. By train to Marktbreit, then continue to Segnitz.

Tradition of the Segnitzer Broträusch

The organizer is the Segnitzer Broträusch. After 21 Brotrausch festivals – the last one in 2010 – the tradition transitioned into today's Segnitzer Mainfest held in the open air. Thus, the festival combines the old local customs with a modern wine and summer festival on the river.

Segnitz is located in the Kitzingen district in the Bavarian administrative region of Lower Franconia, directly on the Main river in Franconian wine country.
