Village festival at Imchenplatz by Kladower Hafen with live music, dancing, and raffle
Kladow belongs to the Spandau district and, with around 16,000 inhabitants, is one of Berlin's smaller districts. Its location directly on the Havel, opposite the Wannsee shore, gives Kladow a distinctive village character – ferry terminal, yacht harbor, old village center. Anyone crossing to the Kladower side from Wannsee with the BVG ferry (line F10) enters a world of Berlin that has little to do with tourists. It is precisely here, at Imchenplatz next to the ferry terminal, that the Kladower Maifest takes place every year.
The date is deliberately chosen: not May 1st itself – which is a public holiday when many shops in Berlin must close – but the first Saturday thereafter. This allows residents and local businesses to co-organize the festival and keep their shops open at the same time. In 2026, the Maifest falls on Saturday, May 2nd. This pragmatic logic characterizes the entire festival: it is a neighborhood and resident event, not a tourist event.
The program is classic village festival: live music on a small stage, dancing in the square, a raffle with prizes from local businesses, games for children, stalls with local specialties, bratwurst, beer, coffee, and cake. What distinguishes Kladow from many other Berlin village festivals is the setting: Imchenplatz is located directly on the water, the ferry terminal of line F10 is next door, and in the background, you can see the other side of the Havel with the villas of Schwanenwerder. This creates a summer festival atmosphere that few Berlin events can match.
The organizer is GG Havelbogen e.V., a local association that has been organizing the Maifest for years. The association acts as a link for local businesses, clubs, and initiatives – the Maifest is neighborhood marketing, business revitalization, and a community festival all in one. Admission is free.
The 2026 edition follows the established format of the Kladower Maifest. The schedule typically runs from late morning to evening, with stage program in the afternoon, raffle, children's program, and catering stalls. The complete 2026 program (band names, stage times) will be published by GG Havelbogen e.V. shortly before the date on havelbogen.de and via local posters in Kladow.
Those arriving by BVG ferry F10 from Wannsee to Kladow can extend the day into a small excursion – the ferry runs frequently, the crossing takes only 20 minutes, and can be used with a normal BVG ticket. Imchenplatz is located directly next to the ferry terminal.

Take the BVG ferry (line F10) from Wannsee to Kladow – an attractive journey that makes the day a trip in itself. By bus 134 or 234 from S+U Rathaus Spandau or by bus X34 from Brandenburger Tor. By car, park in the side streets around Imchenplatz.
Free admission. Food, drinks, raffle tickets, and items from stalls are paid for individually on site.
If you arrive by ferry F10 from Wannsee, plan some time before or after the festival for a walk along the Kladower Ufer – the short promenade along the Havel is surprisingly scenic. There are restaurants and cafes around Imchenplatz.
