Classicism in Baroque Splendor

The Festival Concerts at Schleißheim Palace are an established concert series by the Residenz-Solisten in the New Palace Schleißheim in Oberschleißheim, district of Munich, state of Bavaria. Throughout the summer months, popular classical masterpieces resonate in the grand, magnificent festival hall with its outstanding acoustics.

An Extraordinary Concert Hall

The New Palace Schleißheim is one of Bavaria's most significant baroque palaces. Its festival hall provides a festive setting that particularly enhances the works of Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Mendelssohn, and Johann Strauss.

Concerts Under the Open Sky

Some of the concerts are held as open-air performances in the courtyard garden arcades – in the park of the Schleißheim Palace complex. These arcade concerts combine classical music with balmy summer evenings and take place regardless of the weather.

The Residenz-Solisten

The Residenz-Solisten are a renowned ensemble that performs in the most beautiful palaces and halls in Bavaria. Their repertoire includes the great works of the Baroque and Classical periods – from Vivaldi's 'The Four Seasons' to Beethoven's symphonies.

Schleißheim on the Outskirts of Munich

The Schleißheim Palace complex, with the Old Palace, New Palace, and Lustheim Palace, is one of the outstanding excursion destinations north of Munich. A concert visit can be ideally combined with a stroll through the baroque palace gardens.
