Traditional Costume Festival on Lake Wörthsee

The Seefest of the Trachtenverein D'Donarbichler is one of the most well-known summer festivals on Lake Wörthsee in the Starnberg district. Organized by the Trachtenverein D'Donarbichler from Wörthsee, the festival takes place at the Freibadeplatz on Birkenweg directly on the lake shore and combines living Bavarian customs with special attractions on the water.

The Fischerstechen

The highlight and hallmark is the Fischerstechen – a traditional water jousting event where participants try to knock each other off boats with long poles. This spectacular and often humorous spectacle attracts numerous spectators to the shore every year.

Fireworks over the Lake

The event concludes with a fireworks display over Lake Wörthsee, its lights reflecting in the water. The Trachtenverein provides refreshments and a festive atmosphere on the lake shore.
