The Schwabach Civic Festival is the grand city festival of the gold-beating city of Schwabach. On the last weekend before the Bavarian summer holidays, the historic old town around Königsplatz and Martin-Luther-Platz transforms into a festival mile with over 100 program items. Live bands play on two stages for three evenings, plus culinary delights, arts and crafts, and a children's program. In 2026, the Civic Festival will take place from July 24th to 26th.

Getting There

Schwabach is located south of Nuremberg on the A 6 / A 73 motorways and is easily accessible by S-Bahn (S2 line) from Nuremberg. The festival mile around Königsplatz and Martin-Luther-Platz is in the old town center, within walking distance of the train station.

Admission to the Civic Festival is free. Food, drinks, and offerings are paid for on-site. Organizer: Schwabach Tourist Association together with the City of Schwabach.
