The Schützenfest St. Margarethen Wadersloh 2026 is a special year: the 163rd edition from June 13 to 15, 2026 is accompanied by three major anniversaries:

• 75 Years of Children's Entertainment — the tradition of children's and family programs during the Schützenfest
• 125 Years of the Schellenbaum — the magnificent club's Schellenbaum (a historical musical instrument with a characteristic sound), acquired in 1901, is a symbol of identity
• 50 Years of Fanfarencorps Wadersloh — the club's own Fanfarencorps, founded in 1976

Thus, 2026 is a year of special brilliance and social significance in Wadersloh's club life.

The Schützenfest Program

The Schützenverein St. Margarethen e.V. Wadersloh follows the classic Westphalian Schützenfest choreography:

• Saturday, June 13, 2026: Festival tent opening, morning pint (Frühschoppen), first concert program
• Sunday, June 14, 2026: Grand parade through Wadersloh, king's shooting, festival tent atmosphere in the evening
• Monday, June 15, 2026: Coronation of the new royal couple, family day, coronation ball

Heimatverein Wadersloh — Accompanying Tradition

The Heimatverein Wadersloh traditionally accompanies the anniversary company during the Schützenfest. This close connection between the Schützenverein and the Heimatverein is an expression of local identity preservation — the Heimatverein's participation in anniversaries, parades, and receptions has been a cherished tradition for decades.

Wadersloh — Rural Community in the Lippe Region

Wadersloh (approx. 13,000 inhabitants) is a rural municipality in the Warendorf district in the eastern Münsterland (North Rhine-Westphalia), at the transition to the Lippe region. The municipality comprises the districts of Wadersloh, Diestedde, and Liesborn. Traditional Westphalian club life — Schützenvereine, carnival societies, Heimatverein — forms the backbone of social life. The patron saint St. Margarethen (Margaret of Antioch) is the patron saint of the Catholic parish church and thus also of the Schützenverein.
