The traditional Schützenfest of the Kölln-Reisiek marksmen's association
Kölln-Reisiek is located in the state of Schleswig-Holstein, directly on Pinneberg, in the Hamburg commuter belt — a rural community whose club life is significantly supported by the Kölln-Reisieker Schützenverein (KRSV), founded in 1977. The association belongs to the German marksmanship tradition, which is recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage, and focuses primarily on social club life alongside competitive shooting.
The Schützenfest follows the classic North German format: opening with the assembly of the marksmen, shooting for the titles in the clubhouse, a parade through the streets of Kölln-Reisiek, proclamation of the marksman king or queen on the festival meadow, a communal meal, dancing, and music into the evening. Club members, families, and guests from neighboring towns come together — the festival is one of the community-building events of the year.
Although the Schützenfest is an association event, the parade and parts of the festival on public ground are traditionally accessible to all citizens and guests. Anyone who wants to experience unvarnished North German club life will find it here.
The date for 2026 is set: Saturday, June 13. The Kölln-Reisieker Schützenverein confirms the date on its website. Based on experience, the festival follows the classic format with club shooting, a parade, and an evening of dancing in the festival tent.
The association will announce the detailed program, the assembly point for the parade, and admission details for the evening event shortly before the festival.
