Heudeber — District in the Vorharz
Heudeber is a district of the Nordharz municipality in the Harz district (AGS 15085), state of Saxony-Anhalt, located on the northern edge of the Harz Mountains. A village settlement with active club life, in which the Schützenverein Heudeber (Shooting Club Heudeber) plays a central role. The shooting tradition is deeply rooted in this region — the clubs have often existed since the 19th century, and the Schützenfest is THE event of the summer.
Program: King's Shooting, Festival Parade, Dancing
Classic Schützenfest format with three days of program: Friday opening in the festival tent with live music. Saturday King's shooting at the shooting range — determination of the King, Sausage King, and Egg King according to local tradition. In the evening, crowning and dancing in the festival tent with a live band. Sunday festival parade through the village, ceremony in the Schützenhaus, Frühschoppen with brass music. Free admission.

Visitors to the Schützenfest Heudeber can combine the experience with a hike in the Harz Mountains (Brocken, Wernigerode, Quedlinburg within 20–40 km). State of Saxony-Anhalt, Harz district — shooting tradition and mountain scenery in close proximity.

The 2026 edition of the Schützenfest Heudeber follows the classic three-day format. Exact stage program and King's shooting times will be announced in August 2026 on the notices of the shooting club and on gemeinde-nordharz.de.

- Live music with a regional band
Day 2 — Saturday, August 22, 2026
- Daytime — King's shooting at the shooting range
- Evening — Crowning of the King, Sausage King, and Egg King
- Live band in the festival tent with dancing until late
Day 3 — Sunday, August 23, 2026
- Morning — Frühschoppen with brass music
- Midday — Festival parade through Heudeber
- Afternoon — Ceremony in the Schützenhaus, winding down

By car via the A395 or B6 from Halberstadt to Heudeber. Approx. 15 minutes from Wernigerode. Parking spaces near the Schützenhaus.

Free entry to the festival grounds.
