275 Years of Marksmen Tradition

The Schützengilde Hubertus 1751 Deiningen e.V. is one of the oldest marksmen's clubs in the region. In 2026, it will celebrate its 275th anniversary with a grand festival in Deiningen, a municipality in the Donau-Ries district in Bavaria. The club's history dates back to 1751.

Four Days of Festivities

The Schützenfest spans four days, blending tradition with marquee atmosphere. The event begins with festive honours and a live concert. This is followed by a children's programme with free admission, the highly promoted Rosa Rocknacht for adults, the regional cannon firing meeting, and further concerts under the marquee.

Marksmen's Customs

As a Schützenfest, the club's traditions are at the heart of the celebration: the 17th regional cannon firing meeting with black powder shooters, the Hubertus mass, and the parade on the final day embody the centuries-old tradition of the marksmen's guild.

Festival Finale

Sunday features the traditional Weißwurst breakfast, the solemn Hubertus mass, the parade, and the dignified conclusion of the anniversary festival. Thus, the Schützenfest combines conviviality, music, and living traditions into a community event for all of Deiningen.
