The Schützenfest Burggrub 2026 will be celebrated from May 23 to 25 over the Pentecost weekend at the Burggrub shooting hall (Stockheim).
On Saturday, festival activities with musical entertainment by the Stadtkapelle Teuschnitz begin at 8:00 PM. On Pentecost Sunday, a parade with the Blasmusik Modschiedel will march through the town at 1:15 PM; in the evening, from 7:30 PM, there will be festival activities with Die Wickendorfer, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and the announcement of the shooting kings. On Whit Monday, a church service (9:30 AM) and Frühschoppen (from 10:30 AM) will conclude the event.

By car via the B85 / connecting roads towards Stockheim to Burggrub (Schützenhalle on Bergmannsweg). By train to Stockheim (Oberfranken).

Shooting Traditions on Pentecost Weekend
The Schützenfest Burggrub is the annual festival of the Schützenverein Burggrub e.V. The venue is the Schützenhalle (shooting hall) or Festhalle (festival hall) in Burggrub, a district of the mining community of Stockheim. The festival takes place over the Pentecost weekend and combines shooting traditions, brass band music, and conviviality.
Three-Day Program
On Saturday evening, festival activities with musical entertainment by the Stadtkapelle Teuschnitz begin at 8:00 PM. On Pentecost Sunday, a parade with the Blasmusik Modschiedel will march through the town at 1:15 PM. In the evening, from 7:30 PM, there will be festival activities with the band Die Wickendorfer, followed by the prize-giving ceremony and the announcement of the shooting kings. On Whit Monday, a church service in the festival hall at 9:30 AM and a traditional morning pint (Frühschoppen) starting at 10:30 AM will conclude the festivities.
A Club with Many Members
With around 189 members – including 57 women and children – the Schützenverein Burggrub e.V. is firmly anchored in village life. The Schützenfest is the social highlight of the club's year and a meeting point for the entire community.

Burggrub is a district of Stockheim in the Kronach district in the Bavarian administrative region of Upper Franconia, near the border with Thuringia. The mining community of Stockheim has a long mining tradition; the Schützenfest is an expression of the vibrant club life in the region.
