Classic Schützenfest in the Siegerland
The Schützengilde Alchetal 1938 e.V. is one of the traditional marksmen's clubs in the Siegerland. Since its founding in 1938, it has organized the Schützenfest Alchetal every year on the first weekend of August at its own Schützenhaus on Numbachstraße in the Siegen district of Trupbach — firmly anchored in the village community and with a clear identity.
Two Days of Program in Club Style
The format is classic: bird shooting to determine the new marksmen's king, ceremonial address with the marksmen's companies, proclamation of the king followed by a celebratory ball, plus dance music, catering, and interaction with the village community. Around 1,000 visitors from Trupbach, Siegen, and the surrounding districts attend the festival over the two days.
Grand Parade Every Five Years
A special feature of the Schützenfest Alchetal: Every five years — most recently in 2023, next date 2028 — there is also a grand parade through Trupbach with friendly marksmen's clubs from the region. These parades are the highlights of club life and attract a correspondingly larger audience.
Siegen-Trupbach — District in the Siegerland
The district of Trupbach is located west of the independent city of Siegen in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district (North Rhine-Westphalia). With its rural location on the edge of the Siegen city area, Trupbach still retains much of its village identity — the Schützenfest is one of the most important identity builders in the district's life. The Schützengilde Alchetal also maintains an active youth and sports shooting program throughout the year.
