About Schricker Schützenfest
Schricker Schützenfest — edition 2026
The 36th edition of the Schricker Schützenfest follows the classic schedule of a Börde marksmen's festival: opening in the late morning, shooting competitions for the king's title and several trophies, a flea market from 2 PM, and the winners being determined in the late afternoon. In the evening, the King's Proclamation, a communal meal, and dancing will take place in and around the marksmen's house.
The detailed schedule – order of competitions, appearance of music groups, possible parade – will be updated by the marksmen's club in the weeks before the event on the club's website and in the event calendar of zielitz.de.

A Full Day's Story at the Schricke Marksmen's House
The Schricker Schützenfest has been a fixture on the event calendar of the municipality of Zielitz since the early 90s. The organizer is the Schützenverein Schricke 1990 e.V., whose members come primarily from Schricke, Zielitz, and the surrounding villages. The meeting point is the club's own marksmen's house at Lange Reihe 1 in Schricke – the members built and have continuously renovated the facility and club house themselves in the early 90s.
Börde District, North of Magdeburg
Zielitz is located in the Börde district north of Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt, on the Elbe river and at the edge of the fertile Magdeburg Börde. Marksmen's festivals have a very lively, volunteer-supported tradition in this region; every village has its own club and its own festival date. The Schricker festival is one of the oldest of these traditions since reunification.
Shooting Competitions, King's Proclamation, Flea Market
The festival follows the classic structure: after the opening in the morning, shooting competitions are held during the day – for the title of marksmen's king, for ladies' and youth trophies, and for club champion trophies. In parallel, a flea market is open from 2 PM to 5 PM, where club members and local residents set up their stalls. In the evening, the shooting competitions transition into the social part: the King's Proclamation, a parade, live music or DJ dancing in the marksmen's house, along with food from the grill and cold beer on tap.
Club Life as a Cultural Anchor
Like many marksmen's clubs in Saxony-Anhalt, the SV Schricke 1990 is more than just a sports club: it is a meeting place for intergenerational exchange and village identity. The marksmen's festival is its highlight of the year and, at the same time, the most important social event of the Schricke district.
