Die Nacht der Verführung – Weinnacht on the Rochusberg

Die Nacht der Verführung is one of the most beautiful wine festivals in Rheinhessen and is among the most distinguished open-air wine events on the Middle Rhine. Organized by the city of Bingen am Rhein together with Bingen's vintners, the 2026 edition will take place on the Rochusberg from May 22 to 24, 2026.

Three Days of Wine Festival in the Vineyard

On three evenings, starting at 5 PM each day, Bingen's vintners will serve their wines directly on the Rochusberg. Riesling, Pinot Noir, Burgundy, Rosé, and Sekt are the main offerings. The live music program begins at 7:30 PM: several stages in the vineyards, playing Pop, Soul, acoustic sets, and band music late into the night.

Panoramic View

The Rochusberg offers one of the most spectacular views on the Middle Rhine. From this vantage point, the view opens up over Bingen, the Rhine, the opposite Rüdesheim with the Niederwald Monument, and far into the hilly landscape of Rheinhessen and the Rheingau. At sunset, an atmosphere is created that makes the name “Nacht der Verführung” understandable.

Rheinhessen AUSGEZEICHNET

The festival has repeatedly received the quality seal Rheinhessen AUSGEZEICHNET – an award given only to wine festivals that impress with their quality, event organization, and wine culture.

Free Admission

Admission is free. Those who wish to drink wine can purchase a souvenir glass for €5 (the glass can be kept), from which the vintners will serve their wines.

Date Change in 2026 Due to Weather

Originally, Nacht der Verführung 2026 was scheduled for May 14–16. Due to unfavorable weather forecasts, the date was moved to May 22–24 – an example of the weather dependency of open-air wine events on a slope.
