Volksfest in Munich's East
The Poinger Volksfest is a fixture in the festival calendar of the municipality of Poing in the Ebersberg district, in the Bavarian administrative region of Upper Bavaria. Every summer, families, clubs, and guests from the eastern Munich area gather on the festival grounds Am Hanselbrunn.
Festival Tent and Wiesn-Alm
The heart of the event is the large festival tent with around 1,600 seats, as well as the Wiesn-Alm with its cozy hut atmosphere. There is also an outdoor beer garden. Party bands and popular music ensure lively evenings, while traditional Bavarian delicacies and freshly tapped beer are served.

With a new edition every year, the Poinger Volksfest is an important social meeting point for the municipality of Poing and the entire Ebersberg district.
Volksfest Poing — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Poinger Volksfest runs from July 10th to 19th over ten days on the festival grounds Am Hanselbrunn in Poing. The festival opens with the traditional parade and the beer tapping ceremony by the mayor.
The large festival tent with around 1,600 seats and the Wiesn-Alm offer daily entertainment with party bands and popular music; an outdoor beer garden also invites guests. A senior citizens' afternoon, as well as numerous amusement rides and stalls for the whole family, are spread throughout the festival days. On Sunday, July 12th, the festivities begin at 11:00 AM.

Poing is on the S-Bahn line S2 (Munich–Erding); the festival grounds Am Hanselbrunn are accessible from the train station. By car via the A99 and the B388.
