Advent in the historic town center
The Schnaittach Christmas Market is organized by the Werbegemeinschaft Schnaittach e.V. on the market square of the market town of Schnaittach. Schnaittach is located in the district of Nürnberger Land (state of Bavaria, administrative region of Middle Franconia) and is known for its well-preserved historic town center – a fitting backdrop for a Christmas market.
Market on Advent Sundays
The market does not take place continuously, but on several Advent Sundays (and one Saturday before Christmas). The stalls offer arts and crafts, Christmas decorations, mulled wine, punch, and culinary specialties. The manageable size is part of its special charm: a cozy, family-friendly market without crowds.
Packed stage program
A characteristic feature is the diverse participation of local clubs and groups. On market days, performers include:
- Youth and music bands as well as the Schnaittach music school
- the Schnaittach choir and brass choirs from the region
- dance and movement groups from local clubs
- St. Nicholas and the Christkind, who collects children's wish lists
The market is traditionally opened by the mayor. Thus, the Christmas market is firmly anchored in the club and village life of Schnaittach.

The Schnaittach business association is organizing the 2026 Christmas Market on three market days: Sunday, December 10th, Sunday, December 17th, and Saturday, December 23rd, 2026, in Schnaittach market square.
As in previous years, each market day offers a packed stage program with local music bands, choirs, and dance groups, as well as appearances by St. Nicholas and the Christkind. Stalls with arts and crafts, mulled wine, and culinary specialties complete the market.

The detailed stage program for each market day (opening by the mayor, performances by music bands, choirs, and dance groups, visits from St. Nicholas and the Christkind) will be published by the Schnaittach business association shortly before the dates. Based on experience, it follows the proven schedule of previous years: market opening in the early afternoon, St. Nicholas or Christkind visit in the late afternoon, concluding with a choir or brass choir concert around 5 PM.

Schnaittach is located in the Nürnberger Land district, easily accessible via the A9 (Schnaittach exit) and by S-Bahn line S1 to Schnaittach. The market square is in the historic town center.
