Castle and Fortress as a Concert Stage

The Museum Schloss und Festung Senftenberg is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Lower Lusatia. The former Saxon fortress, expanded in the 16th century by Elector Moritz of Saxony, now houses the Museum of the Oberspreewald-Lausitz district. During the summer months, the walled castle courtyard transforms into an attractive open-air stage — and on July 25, 2026, it will be the venue for a Rock'n'Roll night.

The SuffySandRoCats — Rock'n'Roll from Germany

The SuffySandRoCats are a German Rock'n'Roll trio dedicated to the music of the 1950s. Their live sets combine classic Rock'n'Roll à la Elvis, Bill Haley, and Chuck Berry with Rockabilly tunes and Bluesbopper tracks. With double bass, guitar, and drums, combined with the authentic sound of the era, they create a mix that lives up to the band's own motto: "101 percent Rock'n'Roll".

1950s Atmosphere

The open-air concert thrives on its special atmosphere: In the castle courtyard under the open sky, with the thick walls as an acoustic backdrop, the evening feels like a journey back in time. Many visitors dress appropriately for the occasion in the style of the 1950s — petticoats, leather jackets, quiffs, and sunglasses. A dance floor in the courtyard invites you to Lindy Hop and Swing.
