About Schallkultur

The open-air concert series «Schallkultur» has been held in Weimarhallenpark every summer since 2021. In 2026, the stage will move from the lake stage to the meadow towards the Bauhaus Museum — for greater visibility and more space for the audience. The 2026 programme combines classical and pop: Staatskapelle Weimar with «Feel the Love Tonight — Best of Musical and Movie» (July 4), MILOW (July 17), SCHILLER (July 30), Asaf Avidan (July 31), and Alphaville (August 1). Additionally, LEA & Paul Wetz will perform «Laut und Draußen» on June 27. Standing room directly in front of the stage and tiered seating on the sides.

Open-Air in Weimarhallenpark — since 2021

Since 2021, the Weimar restaurant Erbenhof, together with partners, has been organising the Schallkultur concert series in Weimarhallenpark. Throughout the summer months of July and August, the event brings international acts and regional stars to the UNESCO World Heritage city — the mix of baroque park, Bauhaus architecture, and live music makes every evening a special experience. In the state of Thuringia, in the independent city of Weimar, Schallkultur is one of the most prominent summer concert formats.

New Stage 2026 — Towards the Bauhaus Museum

The biggest innovation in 2026: The stage will move from the previous lake stage to the open meadow towards the Bauhaus Museum. This means greater visibility for the audience, more space for standing room directly in front of the stage, and for the tiered seating on the sides. The UNESCO World Heritage backdrop of the Bauhaus Museum, Weimarhalle, and old parkland will thus become an even stronger part of the concert experience.

The 2026 Programme — Classical Meets Pop

The line-up brings together very different musical worlds: The Staatskapelle Weimar opens with «Feel the Love Tonight — Best of Musical and Movie» (July 4), followed by the Belgian singer-songwriter MILOW (July 17). SCHILLER brings his electronic soundscapes (July 30), before the Israeli Asaf Avidan (July 31) enchants the park with his distinctive voice. The 80s icons Alphaville (August 1) will close the series. Additionally, LEA with Paul Wetz will perform on June 27 as part of their «Laut und Draußen» tour.

Weimar — City of German Classicism

Weimar — birthplace of the Bauhaus, working place of Goethe, Schiller, and Liszt — welcomes around four million visitors annually. Schallkultur fits into a rich calendar of events, ranging from the Bachwoche and Kunstfest Weimar to the Christmas market. Weimarhallenpark, located directly between the Bauhaus Museum, Weimarhalle, and UNESCO World Heritage site, is an ideal concert venue for the event — central, easily accessible, and atmospheric.

Schallkultur — edition 2026

The 2026 Schallkultur series runs from June 27 to August 1 in Weimarhallenpark. New stage towards the Bauhaus Museum. Six concert dates: LEA & Paul Wetz «Laut und Draußen» (June 27), Staatskapelle Weimar «Feel the Love Tonight» (July 4), MILOW (July 17), SCHILLER (July 30), Asaf Avidan (July 31), and Alphaville (August 1). Standing room in front of the stage and tiered seating on the sides.

Schallkultur Weimar 2026 — The Open-Air Season

2026 marks a new chapter for Schallkultur: With the stage moving to the meadow in front of the Bauhaus Museum, the concert space opens up to a larger audience. Six evenings between late June and early August bring diverse musical styles to Weimarhallenpark — from the classical film music of Staatskapelle Weimar to the 80s anthems of Alphaville.

The choice of acts reflects the concept: internationally acclaimed artists meet top regional culture (Staatskapelle Weimar). MILOW, SCHILLER, Asaf Avidan, and Alphaville represent different generations and styles — what they have in common is their suitability for an open-air audience wanting to enjoy a summer evening in the park.
