25 Floors, 250 Acts, One Beat: the Ruhr area's biggest electronic family festival at OlgaPark Oberhausen
Ruhr-in-Love is the electronic family festival of the Ruhr area and has been a staple of German daytime electronic music events since its first edition in 2003. On Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 12 PM to 10 PM, OlgaPark Oberhausen will transform for the 23rd time into a dance metropolis with 25 floors, 250 acts, and around 35,000 expected visitors. The motto: "One Beat. One Family."
What sets Ruhr-in-Love apart from other electronic festivals is its floor structure: 25 stages, each operated by its own club, label, or collective. Each floor has its own atmosphere, its own genre, its own crowd. As you walk through the festival, the sound changes every 100 meters: from uncompromising hard techno on the Klaudia Gawlas floor to euphoric hardstyle on the SUNSHINE LIVE stage, from the Out-of-Control Drum & Bass floor to progressive Psytrance at V.I.B.E.Z. Production. Renowned Floor Hosts:
The acts with the widest reach play on the Center Stage. In 2026, Gestört aber GeiL, Neelix, Jasmin Blust, Le Shuuk, AVAION, Rewi, and Nena Polap are among those performing on the main stage. A special highlight: the B2B set by Klaudia Gawlas and Felix Kröcher on the Pure Techno floor — as the organizers themselves say: "Zero compromise, full escalation." Additionally, there will be performances by Kobosil and Gregor Tresher.
The genre spectrum covers almost the entire electronic music culture: Techno, Hard Techno, House, Trance, Psy-Trance, Drum & Bass, Hardcore, Hardstyle, EDM. The festival is designed for daytime — not a classic night rave, but an open-air event from 12 PM to 10 PM. Afterward, official afterparties in clubs across the Ruhr area offer an extension of the night.
OlgaPark in Oberhausen is the festival grounds of I-Motion GmbH and was transformed from a former colliery site into an expansive event space. The industrial character — conveyor belts, old slag heaps, restored workshops — provides the perfect backdrop for a Ruhr area festival. Those familiar with Oberhausen will know Centro and the Gasometer as neighbors of the park — CentrO offers restaurants and hotels before and after the festival.
