Alverdissen is a district of the town of Barntrup in the Lippe district in East Westphalia-Lippe. In 2026, Alverdissen celebrates its 875th anniversary — the first documented mentions date back to the year 1151, when the region still belonged to the medieval Diocese of Lippe. Double Anniversary — Together with Barntrup

A fortunate constellation: In the same year, 2026, the parent town Barntrup also celebrates its 650th anniversary. Both anniversaries are thematically linked — the Alverdissen village festival fits into the larger framework of the Barntrup city anniversary, and conversely, the city anniversary benefits from the participation of the historic districts. The Batze — the Event Center

• Concert with Vocalissimo — a choir with a contemporary repertoire
• Gymnastics performance by TBV Jahn Alverdissen — the local sports club presents a show
• Festival tent program with dance music in the evening

The second day of celebration focuses on participatory elements:

• Exciting shooting competitions for everyone — the Schützenbruderschaft Alverdissen invites not only club members but all visitors to participate (child-friendly laser rifles, traditional archery stations for adults)
• Archery competitions for all age groups
• Open-air summer festival at the Batze with bratwurst, drinks, live music, and social gathering

The festival concludes with the summer festival, which runs late into the evening and brings together all generations.

The Associations as Organizers

The organizer is the Bürger- und Verkehrsverein Alverdissen e.V. — the village's traditional heritage and tourism association. The Schützenbruderschaft Alverdissen, the MGV Liederfreund, the choir Vocalissimo, and the sports club TBV Jahn Alverdissen actively participate in the program and shape its cultural tone. The Barntrup town administration supports the festival organizationally and financially, integrated into the program for the 650th city anniversary.
