Roßwager Weinfest — edition 2026
Four Days of Wine Festival 2026
From May 14th to 17th, 2026, the Lembergerland Winery in Roßwag will open its traditional wine festival in front of the wine shop. For four days, the cooperative's wines will be the focus — from Lemberger, which gives the winery its name, to Trollinger, Riesling, and Spätburgunder.
Accompanying this will be culinary offerings and a varied music program: live bands, brass bands, and DJs will provide the evening atmosphere. Roßwag is located at the foot of the steep Roßwager Halde — the combination of a wine festival and a hike through the steep vineyards is one of the most beautiful experiences in the Württemberg wine calendar.

Four Days of Wine Festival in Roßwag
The Roßwager Weinfest will take place from Thursday, May 14th, to Sunday, May 17th, 2026, in front of the Lembergerland Winery's wine shop. The Lembergerland cooperative has been organizing the festival for years as a central showcase for its wines — four days of enjoyment, music, and encounters in the heart of Roßwag's steep vineyard area.
Lemberger in the Spotlight
Lemberger — also known as Blaufränkisch — is the region's characteristic grape variety and the winery's namesake. At the festival grounds, the vintners will present their current vintages: robust Lemberger and Trollinger, mineralic Rieslings and Müller-Thurgau, as well as Pinot Noir and Schwarzriesling. Visitors can sample directly at the stands with a festival glass.
Food and Live Music
The Lembergerland Winery will serve regional specialties: grilled winemaker steak, Maultaschen, sausage salad, Flammkuchen, and sweets from the farm café. Over the four festival days, live bands, brass bands, and DJs will alternate, creating an evening atmosphere under the open sky. The warm spring air at the foot of the Roßwager Halde makes the festival one of the region's earliest major wine festivals.
The Roßwager Halde — One of Württemberg's Steepest Vineyards
Roßwag is a district of Vaihingen an der Enz in the Ludwigsburg district. The vineyard that gives it its name, the Roßwager Halde, is one of Württemberg's steepest terraced vineyards with a gradient of up to 65 percent. The Lembergerland Winery unites around 470 wine-growing families from Roßwag and the surrounding wine villages of Mühlhausen, Großsachsenheim, and Hohenhaslach. A visit to the festival can be ideally combined with a hike through the steep vineyards.
Vaihingen an der Enz — Town Between Stuttgart and Pforzheim
The large district town of Vaihingen an der Enz, with around 30,000 inhabitants, is located between Stuttgart and Pforzheim in the Ludwigsburg district. With its medieval old town, Kaltenstein Castle, and vineyards along the Enz River, it is one of Württemberg's most beautiful wine towns. The Roßwager Weinfest is one of the highlights of the wine year in the region.
