About Rosenheimer Radmarathon
Rosenheimer Radmarathon — edition 2026
With confirmed starting documents for June 28, 2026, amateur cyclists and gravel fans will experience the 33rd edition of this classic in the Alpine foothills. The routes remain in their proven form and cover everything – from the short family format (60 km) to the full-day ride of 265 km and over 5,200 meters of elevation gain towards Wendelstein, Kampenwand, and Bayerisch Zell.
New in the program of the most recent editions is the "Freakout Tour" over 239 km, which offers an alternative route off the signposted main paths, as well as an expanded gravel program with tours A (67 km), B (105 km), and C (119 km). The Handbike Gravel Tour (71 km) and the Children's Course (20 km) make the marathon an inclusive event day.
Logistically proven: WEKO as the start/finish area with a large parking lot, several refreshment stops on the route, medical and service vehicles, and a finish line that invites a cheerful beer tent atmosphere with Upper Bavarian culinary delights. All routes from Tour 1 are asphalted, the first three are also signposted; gravel tours are navigated via GPX tracks and Komoot/Strava.

Since the early 1990s, the Rosenheimer Radmarathon has been a fixed date in the Southern German cycling calendar. The 33rd edition on June 28, 2026, continues a tradition that began with a few hundred participants and is now regularly one of the largest amateur cycling marathons in the Alpine foothills. For years, the start and finish have been at the WEKO Möbelmarkt on the western outskirts of Rosenheim – the spacious parking lot becomes the logistical hub on the event day with catering, service tents, and the finish line.
Characteristic is the "Rosenheimer Rundtour" consisting of six sub-sections: their combination creates routes between 60 km (Tour 1) and 265 km with 5,210 meters of elevation gain (Tour 6). In addition, there are several gravel tours (67–119 km), a special handbike gravel route (71 km), and the children's course (20 km). Tours 1–6 are entirely asphalted, the first three are classically signposted; gravel routes are navigated via GPX tracks, Komoot, and Strava.
The event deliberately foregoes official timing: it's not about best times, but about the shared experience of the Inn Valley landscape, the Chiemgau Alps, and the foothills between Wendelstein, Hochries, and Kampenwand. The refreshment stops are plentiful – with muesli, fruit, energy gels, snacks, and sometimes warm soup – the atmosphere along the route is familial, with the club life of Rosenheim and Aising-Pang as the backbone.
