Workshop Festival at Ahe Hammer in the Sauerland — Mindfulness, Movement, and Encounter
The Rise up Festival 3.0 is a workshop weekend by the Rise up Kollektiv at Ahe Hammer in Herscheid, Sauerland. From August 1st (Saturday, 11:00 AM) to August 2nd, 2026 (Sunday, 3:00 PM), the former forge transforms into a place of encounter: not a classic music festival, but a format between a retreat, workshop camp, and community gathering.
The ticket includes all non-alcoholic drinks, food, and participation in all workshops. The program focuses on conscious experience, mindful movement, yoga, creative sessions, sound, and exchange — the exact workshops will be gradually presented by the Kollektiv on the Eventbrite page. The festival is intended as an alcohol-free space.
The Ahe Hammer at Schwarze Ahe 7 in Herscheid is a former forge — one of the many historical ironworking industries that characterize the Sauerland region. Today, the site is an extraordinary festival ground by the stream with a meadow, forest, and old industrial structures. Its location away from main traffic routes enhances the retreat character.
Herscheid is located in the Märkischer Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia, in the heart of the Sauerland — one of Germany's most forested regions. With around 7,000 inhabitants, Herscheid is a small municipality — known primarily as a hiking and mountain biking destination, with the beautifully situated valleys of the Ihne and Ahe rivers and the Nordhelle as its highest point (663 m). A festival location that consciously opts for nature over the big city.
Behind the festival is the Rise up Kollektiv, a group of young organizers who launched the format in 2024. Consciously small, consciously personal, consciously alcohol-free and vegan/vegetarian oriented — as a counter-model to mass festivals. The third edition in 2026 builds on the experiences of the first two years.
