Three days of music and dance at Oderberg in northern Barnim
The association Perspektive Oderberg e.V. has been working for years on the cultural revitalization of Oderberg, the smallest town in the Barnim district. With just 2,000 inhabitants, Oderberg lies on the northern slope of the Albrechtsberg between the Hohes Oderbruch and the Niederfinow Ship Lift — a scenically spectacular location that the association brings to the attention of a wider audience with its projects. The Resonanzen Festival is one of several formats with which the association brings young and established artists to Oderberg.
The Resonanzen Festival will take place in Oderberg from August 14th to 16th, 2026. Starting daily at 8 PM. The festival is conceived as a series of three consecutive evenings featuring concerts and dance performances. The complete program and the artists will be announced by the organizer a few weeks before the festival — the association follows a curatorial line between experimental and established formats.
Oderberg in the extreme northeast of Brandenburg is one of the oldest towns in the Mark Brandenburg — its town rights date back to the 13th century. Its location on the Albrechtsberg and on the Oder waterways historically made it an important trading post. Today, Oderberg is primarily a nature destination: situated between the Lower Oder Valley National Park, the Oderbruch, and the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere. The concerts and performances of the Resonanzen Festival utilize this special atmosphere — the small venues, the gardens, and the historic spaces of the old town — as an integral part of their staging.
The festival is organized by Perspektive Oderberg e.V. — a non-profit association based in Oderberg. The association is financed by membership fees, donations, and funding from the state of Brandenburg, the Barnim district, and various foundations. Ticket prices for the festival evenings are moderate — the festival is not intended as a commercial event, but as culture for the region.

Resonanzen follows the concept of a small, high-quality festival that combines the atmosphere of a historic Brandenburg small town with contemporary sound and movement art.
