Remshaldener Straßenfest 2026

Remshalden — Wine-growing community in the Remstal

The municipality of Remshalden (around 13,700 inhabitants, Rems-Murr district) is located in the middle Remstal valley, east of Stuttgart. It was formed in 1975 from several formerly independent villages — Geradstetten, Grunbach, Hebsack, Buoch, and Rohrbronn. Remshalden's wine production shapes the landscape, and the Bürgerpark in the town center is the green lung of the community and the venue for the annual street festival.

Street Festival June 20–21, 2026

The Remshaldener Straßenfest 2026 will take place on the weekend of June 20th and 21st, 2026. The motto is: "Bürgerpark becomes a festival mile — Celebrate with us!". Thousands of visitors from Remshalden and the neighboring towns of Schorndorf, Winterbach, Urbach, and Weinstadt are expected for two days of festivities with a packed program.

Opening Saturday 4 PM

The official festival opening will take place on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at 4:00 PM — with an address by the mayor of Remshalden and the traditional beer barrel tapping. The stage at the Bürgerpark will then be officially opened, and the club stands will begin their operations.

Two Stages with Live Music

Characteristic of the festival are two stages, which will be used concurrently:

• Main Stage at the Bürgerpark with live bands from the region — cover bands with rock, pop, and Schlager repertoire
• Club Stage with performances by Remshalden's music clubs, choirs, and dance groups — from brass band music and choir concerts to show dances

Club Stands and Catering

The Remshalden clubs will be responsible for catering and family activities:

• Swabian specialties from local clubs: Bratwurst, Maultaschen, Käsespätzle, homemade potato salad
• Sports club, fire department, church communities, music clubs participating
• Family participation stations: bouncy castles, face painting, craft tables
• Remstal wines on tap — one of the characteristics of the festival
• Beer on tap, sparkling water, non-alcoholic beverages

Sunday with Ecumenical Service, Flea Market, and HGV Market

Sunday, June 21st, 2026, features an expanded program:

• Ecumenical Service — celebrated jointly by Protestant and Catholic communities, often held outdoors in the Bürgerpark
• Flea Market — private second-hand market, registration required by May 25th, 2026
• HGV Market — the Remshalden Trade and Industry Association presents its offerings with sales booths, special offers, and a shop window program
• Stage program and catering as on Saturday
• Festival wind-down in the late afternoon

Anyone wishing to participate in the flea market can register with the municipality of Remshalden by May 25th, 2026 — Nicole Wöllner, phone 07151 9731 1122. Regular club and business stand registrations are usually closed by this time, but individual inquiries will still be considered.
