Four Days of Beer Culture in the Heart of Kirchheim

The Kirchheim Beer Days are a young, but rapidly popular town festival that takes place every year at the beginning of September on the market square of Kirchheim unter Teck. For the 4th edition from Thursday, September 3rd to Sunday, September 6th, 2026, the historic market square with its distinctive half-timbered houses and baroque town hall will become the festival backdrop for beer, Swabian specialties, and live music.

Regional Breweries in Focus

Instead of focusing on mass-produced beers, the Kirchheim Beer Days showcase the full diversity of regional brewing art: small breweries from the Esslingen district and the Swabian Jura will tap their specialty beers fresh from the barrel. Pilsners and dark lagers, wheat beers, cellar beers, seasonal special brews, and craft creations come together where Swabian beer culture has traditionally been strong.

Kirchheim Market Square as a Festival Backdrop

The market square, situated at the foot of Teck Castle, is one of Württemberg's most beautiful old town squares. During the Beer Days, it transforms into a covered open-air beer garden, complemented by food stalls offering Swabian specialties — from Maultaschen to Rote Würste to vegetarian options. Long wooden tables and cozy seating areas invite visitors to linger.

Musical Supporting Program

Live bands, brass bands, and DJs will accompany the festivities on all four festival days. The program ranges from Swabian classics and folk music on Sunday afternoon to party bands on Friday and Saturday evenings, when the market square becomes Kirchheim's largest open-air stage.

In the Esslingen District, at the Foot of the Swabian Jura

Kirchheim unter Teck is located in the Esslingen district of Baden-Württemberg, nestled between Stuttgart, Reutlingen, and the Swabian Jura. The town is a starting point for hikes to Teck Castle, into the Lenninger Valley, and the Swabian Jura foothills. The Beer Days are a great opportunity to combine a long weekend: hiking or castle visits during the day, beer on the market square in the evening.
