Beer Culture Instead of Volksfest

Remchinger Bierkultur is an open-air beer festival on the edge of the northern Black Forest, consciously focusing on beer culture rather than mass consumption. Instead of large breweries, small to medium-sized regional breweries are invited — 8 breweries from the Pforzheim area, Kraichgau, the northern Black Forest, and the Württemberg wine region. The focus is on Pils, Lager, Weizen, Hefeweizen, and Helles, complemented by seasonal creations like Maibock or Märzen.

4 Live Bands on Two Evenings

The musical program is supported by 4 bands playing on the main stage next to the Kulturhalle. On Friday, July 24th, 2026, the Musikverein Remchingen will open at 6 PM with the keg tapping, followed by the cover band Cover Up at 8 PM. Saturday, July 25th, 2026, starts at 5:30 PM with Mocca 4, and from 8 PM, MadHouse — a well-known rock cover band in the region — will perform. The stage is covered, and the audience sits on beer benches in the open-air area.

Food Trucks and Sales Stands

Four food trucks complement the brewery program — typical festival fare with bratwurst, burgers, vegetarian bowls, and fries. Beer souvenirs (glasses, T-shirts with the Bierkultur logo) can be purchased at the sales stands. The festival is designed as a family event — free admission for all age groups, with play activities for children on Saturday afternoon.

San Biagio Platani Square as the Venue

The San Biagio Platani square next to the Kulturhalle Remchingen is named after Remchingen's Italian partner city San Biagio Platani in Sicily. It is a large open space with a paved area and green strips, offering ideal conditions for an open-air festival operationally. The organizer is the Kulturhalle Remchingen in cooperation with the municipality of Remchingen — Bierkultur is one of the most important indoor events of the season.
